The CEO secret weapon:

Other CEOs.

This is no time to go it alone.

It gets “lonely at the top” because you can’t share your ideas, thoughts, and concerns with anyone who really gets what you’re up against.

Have you ever postponed or abandoned a strategic initiative because you’re swamped with day-to-day operations?

Or maybe you’re frustrated with balancing the growth of revenue, profits, and staff.

And there’s that gnawing concern that all the smart people on your senior team aren’t quite rowing in the same direction.

Are you worried that instead of running your business, it’s running you?

With a Vistage peer advisory group, you can have a safe and confidential council of true peers, right here in Knoxville, to help you with these types of challenges.

Peers with no other agenda but to help you make better decisions, faster.

It’s still a human world where integrity, experience, and relationships matter.

Vistage connects the most successful Knoxville executives so that — together — we can share expertise, challenge one another to think critically, and arrive at better decisions.

Through this ongoing collaboration, we build life-long leadership excellence that elevates companies, strengthens communities, delivers meaningful results, and fosters sustainable growth.

Here’s what Burke Pinnell, a Knoxville Vistage member since 2009, says about his CEO peer group experience:

“Having a confidential and supportive sounding board of other CEOs, who ask the tough questions about business and life that no one else asks, has consistently brought value to me and my business.”

As they say, the proof is in the pudding: According to a recent study of Dun & Bradstreet data, companies with leaders involved in Vistage grow 2.2x faster than average U.S. companies.

You make decisions.
Vistage helps you make smarter ones.

No one understands the challenges and needs of business owners, CEOs, and key executives better than Vistage.

For more than 65 years, we’ve been helping business leaders around the world refine their instincts, improve their judgment, and expand their perspectives.

* Can’t imagine spending a day per month out of your office? You're just like most of Vistage’s 45,000 members worldwide who said the same thing. Truth Bomb: A key driver of growth is stepping away from the day-to-day stuff to work ON your business, not just IN it.

Vistage members in Knoxville tell us that by getting out of the weeds to really think about and vet their decisions, they’re actually more effective and are able to get time back. It’s one of the reasons why the average member stays for more than five years.

How Membership Works

The Vistage process is not for everyone. We are very serious about fit, chemistry, and confidentiality.

You should be too.

For that reason, we follow a proven process. We call it Mutual Selection. It looks like this:

This is why I’m here. You?

My name is Kurt Greene. I grew up as a military brat during the Cold War, and my father was a career Army officer.

My grades as a kid were OK which let me fulfill a boyhood dream of graduating from West Point with an engineering degree, getting commissioned as an Army officer myself, and serving our country. Which I did for five years, mostly in Germany when the Berlin Wall came down. Good times.

After that I started a civilian career, which followed a typical Fortune 500 career track in engineering, leadership, operations, and HR roles at companies like Pfizer, GE, and Procter & Gamble.

Along the way I got an MBA from Vanderbilt. Got married. Had a couple of kids. Then I spent a few years in a small family-owned manufacturing business, where I first learned about Vistage and was a member of a Vistage peer group in Dallas.

In 2015 I started up a leadership advisory firm that specializes in individual and organization performance. We’re called Arrow G Consulting, and companies come to us when they have grown to the point where their people and team processes are no longer keeping up with where they’re trying to go. I work with companies and leaders to address the people, team, and culture pain points that are getting in the way of progress.

Here’s the thing: I have been studying leadership my entire life.

From growing up in the Army,

to attending West Point,

to leading soldiers during the Cold War,

to leading manufacturing technicians at a Pringles factory,

to running a shared service center at GE serving 7,000 employees nationwide,

to starting up my own business…

…I live and breathe in the place where organization, mission, people, and results all come together.

And that nexus is called leadership and culture.

For the number of hours that most people spend at work, they deserve to be led well. I’ve seen some people get it right. I like to think that I get it right. But I’ve seen a lot more people struggle with it.

I do what I do because I am fiercely fixated on helping more leaders get better at getting it right. Better decisions lead to better results, and the results speak for themselves.

Most effective and successful leaders, performers, and athletes have coaches and accountability partners to help them improve.

If you’re ready to take another step in your growth and development as a leader—or you know someone who is—then get in touch with me.

We’ll discuss if Vistage is right for you, and if you and your business would be a fit for us.

Not ready to learn and change and grow as a leader? Yeah… we should still talk.

I look forward to connecting with you.
